If you are interested in the art of muay thai thailand training and have plans of going into muay thai camps in Thailand, then you must be aware of a true Muay Thai diet. People from the West do not practice eating white rice as part of their everyday diet, instead they opt for bread as source of carbohydrates, or potatoes and corn, these are healthy foods too, but in Thailand white rice is a part of their everyday meal.
What to include in one’s diet
One reason why Muay thai fighters are strong all the times is because they eat healthy foods. It is required for fighters to eat proper diet and to keep themselves from dehydration which means that water should be taken at least 2-3 glasses every after meal, on the other hand too much water will not benefit your training and so you must properly watch over your fluid intake. During training you will only be allowed to sip water. You can also drink rehydration fluid if you are worried about Thailand’s hot climate, but it should be no more than one bottle during training.
Diet should also not include processed food or food with preservatives, although this may be tough, you should know that it helps detoxify your body. Use fresh ingredients or eat fresh foods including vegetables and fruits to keep your body hydrated at the same time strong for strenuous training.
When trying to lose weight make sure that you do not lose any more than .5K per week, if you go more than that, your body will start weakening and you will not be able to perform well on your training.
